Cactus Taquería is all about freshness, sustainability and the traditional, mouthwatering flavors of Mexico. We make everything from scratch with no artificial ingredients, and all of our meat and poultry comes from partner farms that never ever feed the animals growth hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products. Good Food From Good Sources

Locally Crafted Tortillas & Tortilla Chips from Mi Rancho


The taste and texture say it all. Our tortillas and tortilla chips are from Mi Rancho, a family-owned business founded in Oakland (now in Elk Grove, California), that’s been making authentic tortillas for four generations. Their tortillas are made with the finest wheat flour available—sourced locally from California whenever possible—or whole-kernel corn ground with handcrafted lava stones; their tortilla chips are made with stone-ground non-GMO yellow corn.

Mary’s Free Range Air Chilled Chicken


From empanadillas to enchiladas, we only use Mary’s Free Range Air Chilled Chicken from the Pitman family farm in California. The birds are pasture raised in the clean air with less stress and plenty of space to roam. The meat is cooled with an air-chilling process, rather than communal water baths, which is safer, conserves water and doesn’t dilute the flavor.

We've worked with Richmond, CA-based Preferred Meats since 2009, as they consistently offer high-quality Angus beef from small American ranches.

SUSTAINABLY CAUGHT SEAFOOD FROM FOUR STAR SEAFOOD & PROVISIONS


San Francisco's Four Star Seafood & Provisions provides the line-caught Pacific snapper and wild-caught gulf shrimp on our menu. Four Star works directly with fishermen, fisheries and sustainable aquaculture operations, ensuring that all their seafood is traceable, sustainably caught and of the highest quality and freshness. In October 2024, Jimmy Galle, our friend and longtime fish provider, merged his Gulfish operations with Four Star, where he continues to advocate for fishermen working in the gulf.

Heritage Pork from Beeler’s Pork


Love our carnitas? We do too, and we also love that the meat comes from Beeler’s Pork. These sixth generation pig farmers in Iowa carefully select heritage breeds (for tastier pork) and ensure that the animals are raised with compassion. The pigs are free to bask in the sunshine or play in bedded areas at their leisure.
